Surprise of the Mission…!

“Look among the nations and watch – be utterly astounded!
for I will work a work in your days
Which you would not believe, though it were told you.” Habbakuk 1:5
Stay tuned and keep on praying for God is keeping for you great surprises
for your life this summer.

Remember that difficulties, problems and hardships around you will never end or change. We are told that as Christians we will face many tribulations in this world. According to the early fathers we are more than conquerors in Jesus. Therefore, does praying for victory mean we are in a position of defeat, as if we have thrown away our steadfast position of victory?  Should we stop praying for victory when we are down or weak? Surely, the answer is no, but instead our prayers should be mixed with praises and thanksgiving for the gift of victory that Jesus has given us.

Love in the Upper Room

“Now there was leaning on Jesus’ bosom one of His disciples, whom Jesus loved. Simon Peter therefore motioned to him to ask who it was of whom He spoke” John 13: 23-24

This is the first of two times it is mentioned that John was the disciple Jesus loved. It was during this scene that Jesus reminds us of His steadfast love for His own. There are three personalities we can examine during this time. St John was present to enjoy the love of Christ by leaning over His heart and recognizing how much Jesus loved him.
