Joyful Events in Kenya

“My Father has been working until now and I have been working”

With the confusion and evil in the world in these days, God’s children could question whether God was still sitting on His throne controlling His world. We could wonder if His love and care for His people was, even now, abundant. We could enquire why He allows the wicked to ‘do the deeds of their father… who is a murderer from the beginning’ (John 8:41,44). One could lose heart and faith, were it not for the fact that God is richly working His great miracles of love and healing for His people. He is willing to grant His children the best life as He has promised.

Calabar, Nigeria

A Land Flowing with Milk and Honey

Calabar, a village in southern Nigeria, is called by the local natives “Canaan.” Canaan is the land promised to Abraham's descendants – a land flowing with milk and honey. The land in Calabar is lush and green, as if one was in a tropical paradise. The palm trees, mountains, rivers, and quiet breeze bring peace and tranquility to this land. The people living in Calabar are very friendly. They welcome you in their homes, in the marketplace and on the streets.

Mary Slessor, a courageous missionary, lived and died in this place of Calabar, never understanding why she was so attached to the people of Calabar.
