Secretary Kathleen Sebelius' Visit to the Coptic Mission Center in Nairobi

Location:
Kenya

The Coptic Mission as a church has always seen an urgent need for effective ways to help alleviate sickness and poverty within the community. By having a medical mission as well as many humanitarian services like caring for orphans, street boys, widows, vocational training and many other activities we have been able to achieve exactly that. One strategy that the Coptic Mission is focused on, is to reduce pain and suffering through establishing a Mission Hospital. The services here are affordable to a greater majority.

On July 18, 2011 the Coptic Mission in Nairobi was recognized for it’s outstanding achievements in health care and service to the community. In attendance were the venerated U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services, Kathleen Sebelius and the U.S. Ambassador to Kenya, Scott Gration.  Who acknowledged the Coptic Hospital’s missionto improve the quality of life for adults and children living with HIV through provision of quality, comprehensive and free care, treatment, and community awareness.  The mission was acknolwdged for doing so at the highest standard to the community at large.

We were truly honored by this visit and give all the Glory to our Lord and Savior for the blessed work the mission continues to achieve through the support of our partners and the prayers of all of you.
